£1m Pledge Takes SaveRangers.com Above £12m
SaveRangers.com was delighted to receive a £1m pledge from Alan MacKenzie in Western Australia. Alan, who runs his own manufacturing company Down Under, contacted the site admin with his pledge and the picture below of his grandkids “handing over” their pledge to the campaign from Perth, WA.
Alan stated,
“Why am I doing this? the players and fans don’t deserve to be in this position. I’m doing it for the proud history and the legends no longer with us. For my Dad, my son who is true blue and the kids of today’s supporters. To ensure future generations, like my Grandkids, come to know the history of their family background and why we wear this strip with pride and honour, the blue jersey of Rangers, especially down under or when travelling!”
Sir Alex Ferguson Joins SaveRangers
Having been born within one mile of Ibrox Stadium and grew up supporting Rangers, and had the pleasure of playing for them, I hope that the future of this great Club is made secure. No matter whether you supported them or not, no one can dispute their place in Scottish Football history.
It makes depressing reading of their current situation and I fear not only for the supporters but for those loyal staff members whose lives are embedded in the fabric of the club.
Ally McCoist and his staff have done a marvellous job in continuing under such pressure and other staff like Sandy Jardine who work tirelessly to maintain the Club’s prominence.
I wish Rangers Football Club all the good luck in the coming weeks and sincerely hope a resolution is found.
I urge you to back our campaign to Save Rangers and pledge whatever you can afford to save our club.
Rangers Supporters Trust Statement
We are delighted to have the support of Sir Alex, a legend of the game and one of the best known faces in world football. He has never forgotten his Govan routes and is obviously a very keen follower of his local team.
While the campaign’s main aim is to show the level of support for a share issue we know of a number of short term measures working towards assisting the club financially until the end of the season. We would ask all fans to get behind these campaigns to save our club.
Longer term we are also working on a membership scheme proposal and are in discussions with potential future partners. Supporters of every team who has ever been in administration has warned of the long term danger of throwing money into a club for nothing in return so we would ask you all to be patient while we work towards the best future of the club.
The best way to ensure the survival of our club is to ensure Ibrox Stadium is full every match till the end of the season.

Rangers fans have always, and will always, be the biggest investors in the club. This site will be used as a guide to the level of financial input the supporters would be willing to make should the time come to invest in Rangers. The days of one man owning Rangers should be in the past and we, the support, should become financial stakeholders to ensure our great club will never end up in a similar situation again.
